Adore Yorkies? Yorkshire Terrier wall art is a fun way to express the love
If you're shopping for gifts, these make great Yorkie presents
In this Yorkie wall art, our little lady wears the same outfit worn by the subject now known as "Girl in a Blue Dress". The original portrait of this gal was painted by Dutch portrait artist Johannes Cornelisz Verspronck in the 1600s. It's such a lovely blue dress, isn't it? Just right for an adorable Yorkie.

I have been painting Old World Pet Portraits for two decades now. I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of the theme because….. it’s just so absurd. It still makes me giggle to think about these portraits popping up in incongruous places. Like the Beatles showing them to their fans. Or a portrait behind the pope in a photo. Or in the oval office at the white house.
They’re just as fun in the décor of a house. Perhaps Yorkie canvas prints are amidst family portraits. It’s a formal portrait composition you expect to see, but a subject that’s a delightful surprise. I love to see the photos my customers send me. And here’s my disclaimer; The queen mum was not a customer who sent me the photo you see above….this was one of the silly ideas I made up in my head.
A nice match for this portrait is “Lad Mozart”, an adorable young male Yorkie sporting a fancy pale blue suit…. much like an outfit Amadeus Mozart wore as a young child.
