This lovely little pom is dressed in her finest for this Pomeranian artwork; the clothes of a princess, in fact. This painting was inspired by a portrait of the Infanta Maria Teresa.  That painting was by a 17th century artist, Diego Velazquez.  When Maria Teresa was older, she married the Holy Emperor of Rome and became a queen.
