This is one of several works of art depicting the Infanta Margaret Theresa of Spain, painted by Diego Velazquez. This was the earliest one, painted in 1653 when she was just three years old. As she got older, her dresses got puffier! They were all lovely dresses, but must have been so difficult for a young girl to wear.
