I came across this historical portrait. I loved the composition, and it seemed to tell a story….I don’t know the story but I love the mystery of it. It seemed to me that the dog in this portrait deepens the mystique.

The 16×20″ painting comes unframed, but a wide, ornate frame would be a great choice for it.
