This lovely lady Golden Retriever art print was inspired by a portrait painted in the early 1500s by Raffaelo Sanzio (more commonly known as “Raphael”) called “Lady With A Unicorn”. As she gazes off into the distance, she holds her kitty friend instead of a unicorn.
This Downton Abby scene, of course never was. But isn’t it delightfully absurd to picture it? It’s all right…. the people are formal and dignified. The paintings have that luxurious old world charm, and the subjects of the paintings are appropriately proud and hoity toity. But there’s something…. a little ….. different. And there you have it! You don’t need a castle to have fun with my portraits. This Golden Retriever art print looks lovely in any room. You can group it with other portraits of mine, or among portraits of (human) family members. A 5×7″ or 8×10″ look great in a table top frame, sitting on a desk or table.
