I created this art pig painting for a project with Brent Ridge, and Josh Kilmer; the Beekman Boys. Mr. and Mrs. Piggy, along with 10 other dressed-up farm animals, and they created a calendar and notecard set. The Barnyard Royalty collection went on to be Christmas ornaments that they sold in their shop, called Beekman 1802 Mercantile. (but don’t look for them now…. ’cause they’ve all been sold and the line has been discontinued). This brought me into the fold of Beekman 1802 artisans, along with many others.
I’m so proud to have partnered with them early on. They have grown their business, Beekman 1802, in leaps and bounds since then. From the start, their primary product line revolved around the goats that live at their farm, and goat soap was their first product. Now, they have an extensive skincare line, other successful product lines, a magazine. They have a faithful following of “neighbors”. Why neighbors? Because they think of everyone on the planet as a neighbor. They believe that if we all treated each other kindly, like a good neighbor, the world would be a better place. They’re one of the most ethical businesses I know about.
So if you’re looking for soap or really great skin care products, check out Beekman 1802. If you’re looking for cute pig stuff, you are at the right place!! Mr. and Mrs. Piggy are adorable pieces to create a whimsical tone to your décor.
