This portrait was inspired by Raphael’s “Lady With A Unicorn”. Betsy prefers to hold her favorite ball. Behind her are the rolling hills where she loved to romp and play. I painted this portrait of Besty in 2003. This noble Boxer was a beloved family dog. Her people wanted to capture her likeness in a portrait that would always make them smile. Betsy has gone to greener pastures now, but the portrait still brings back memories of her. She watches over the family, just as she did when she was living her best life with them.
Betsy looks great in an ornate frame. The image is available in Boxer dog canvas prints as well as paper prints. She looks so sweet as a 5×7″ framed print, doesn’t she?
