Bearded Dragons can look quite elegant when dressed properly.
It’s been quite a while since I painted Mr. Spike the bearded dragon. Who knew he would be, hands down, the most popular image in my Etsy Shop. After a while, I realized Mr. Spike was lonely.
Fame is nice, but it can get lonely at the top. So I painted him a partner; Mrs. Spike. They seem to enjoy each other’s company. This is evidenced by how often bearded dragon fans buy both of these images. Spike and Mrs. Spike prints can be found all over the world now, not to mention the hundreds of magnets with their likeness that hang in the dens of bearded dragons. But there’s just one original of each of them.
This 11×14″ original portrait has a lot of antique charm to it. It has a lovely glowing varnish. The painting is on standard stretched canvas. You can hang it unframed, or purchase a frame for it.
The Mr. and Mrs. do make a fine pair. Wouldn’t they look cute hanging over the bed of a couple who love bearded dragons?
