A lovely Ram
This is an oil painting in the classic style of the mid to late 1800s. Dog portraits were popular during that time; different dog breeds in bucolic settings. I love painting animals dressed in clothes…. I do. But this centuries-old traditional style is on the top of my list of favorites.
My licensing company art director thinks it’s a great style, too. She thought a series of 4 might be popular as a theme. This is one of those 4. You might see this image out in the world some day, because Art In Motion is poised to mass produce it for retail establishments. But there’s only one original, and it has a nice glowy varnish on it…. there’s nothing like an original painting!
The 16×20″ painting comes unframed, but a wide, ornate frame would be a great choice for it.
